Creating a High Quality Video (Windows)

There are subtle differences between Windows and Mac when putting the final touches on your Scriptnami script, to turn it into a professional, profit pulling sales video.

Before we get started there are a few programs you'll need - AudacityPowerPoint and Camtasia (Windows)

How To Change Audio Tempo In Audacity

One of our BIG post production secrets for injecting energy and passion into your sales video, is to export your audio from Camtasia, and bring it into Audacity where you can increase the tempo by 10-15%

To do this open Audacity and load your audio recording, then select 'Effect' from the menu bar, and then "Change Tempo" - if you select "Change Speed" instead of "Change Tempo" the voice pitch will change to sound like a chipmunk - then increase the Tempo by 10-15%.

How To Export Audio From Audacity

Once Audacity has performed its magic, the next step is to export my tempo modified audio so that I can use it in my sales presentation.

In Audacity, select "File", "Export", then select "WAV" then give your audio file a name. It’s a good idea to name your file something like “SalesVideoAudio-Plus10” where the Plus10 indicates that this audio has had its tempo increased by 10%.

Then navigate to the destination you want to save your file and click the "Save" button.

How To Export Slides From Powerpoint

If you’ve followed the steps outlined in our previous Scriptnami training videos, you should now have a Powerpoint Slide Deck that contains your text slides, images to act as pattern interrupts, a highlighted Secondary Reading Path to emphasise your main message, and visuals to reinforce your calls to action.

To export your slides go to File => Export => Change File Type => and either select PNG or JPEG (either one is fine), click "Save" and select the ‘All Slides’ option, and Powerpoint now exports all my slides out as individual images and let’s you know the job was complete with this pop up box.

How To Combine Your Slides And Audio

Open Camtasia and start a new project, then find and click the “Import Media” button.

Now navigate to where you exported your 'Increased Tempo' recording is, highlight it and select 'Open', which should add that audio file to your media.

Next click the "Import Media" button again, navigate to your exported slides folder and press "control + a" to highlight all of the files (you might need to click a file first), then click "Open" to add the files to Camtasia.

From here there are a number of different ways to combine your audio files and slides. The following process is the process we currently use at Noble Samurai because it is relatively quick and gives an excellent end result.

The first step is to lay down my audio track. The quickest way to do this is to drag the audio file down to the beginning of my document

As you can see, Camtasia adds my audio track to my timeline. Now I can start dragging my first slides into place on my timeline.

Now I can play my audio by hitting the spacebar, and Identify where my next slide should appear.

When I find the right spot, I can adjust the duration of my first slide by selecting it on the timeline and then clicking the “s” key to split the slide into two, then deleting the leftover part of the slide.

You can delete the leftover part of the slide by either pressing the button, or right clicking and selecting ‘delete’ - then repeat these steps until you fill reach the end of your audio track.

How To Add Music To Your Sales Video

As mentioned in a previous video, a good way to increase the emotional impact of your sales video is to use two different music tracks. The first track is called your Problem Music Track and it should create a subtle sense of unease and agitation in your prospect’s mind.

First I'll click the “Import Media” button, and then I’ll find my problem music track that I purchased online, and click Open.

The biggest mistake people make when adding music to their sales video is making it too LOUD so that it distracts the viewer from your spoken words.

To vary the volume of your music track, simply select the Audio option here, then drag the green audio level down to bring your audio track noise lower - we recommend decreasing the music track to around 5%, but it depends on the audio track.

Once you’ve got your Problem music track in place, the next step is to add in your Solution music track which creates a feeling of ease and happiness while you reveal your product

So click "Import Media" again, then find my solution music track and click the Open button

Now you may recall that we suggest adding your Problem music track for steps 1 to 6 of your Scriptnami script. Then using your Solution music track for steps 7 to 15

So I’ll now find where step 7 of my Scriptnami script starts and drag in the solution music track. Once again, select the track, click Audio menu, and adjust the volume to 5%.

Now, the last thing to do is bring back the problem music track for the last part of your sales message which covers step 16 to 25 of your Scriptnami script.

So, once again, move the playhead to the right spot on your timeline and then drag in a copy of your problem track. Remember to check for any left over audio track and remove it.

How To Render Your Sales Video

To create your final sales video, all you have to do is come up to File => and Produce and share.

Then select ‘MP4 with Smart Player (up to 1080p)’ for best results, and click Next

You can then type in a name for your video and select a destination for the file on your computer.

You can uncheck the ‘Play video after production’ button if you don't want the video to play after it's finished rendering.

And then click the ‘Finish’ button!

Now you should be left with a professional, compelling, high quality video when Camtasia is finishing rendering the video, ready to put on a sales page and drive traffic towards it.
